Christians believe that Jesus is not merely a remarkable human being.
The Bible testifies that he is fully human and at the same time the Son of God.
It speaks of one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
This God is the Creator of the world.
Jesus is therefore not merely Lord over one part of our lives.
Jesus is Lord.
The Bible invites people to trust him freely and acknowledge him as their Lord.
The apostle Paul writes:
"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
These two statements are therefore also at the heart of C33:
Jesus is risen.
Jesus is Lord.
