C stands for Calling – calling, vocation, a calling from God.
Calling means the invitation and responsibility to follow Jesus and tell others about him.
2033 is not just something that other people are supposed to prepare.
Christians are not only invited to take part in a celebration. They are called by Jesus to follow him and to tell others about him.
The resurrection of Jesus is therefore not only something Christians celebrate. It is the foundation of their hope and faith – for their own lives, for the present and for the future.
That is why Christians tell others what they believe: Jesus is alive.
And they want to invite other people to get to know Jesus personally.
2033 can therefore be more than an anniversary. It can be an opportunity to remember afresh what God has done, to honour his name together and to invite people to ask their own questions about Jesus.
C33 wants to encourage Christians to live out their calling: to make Jesus visible, to tell others about him and to point to him together.
