C stands for Christ.
C33 is first and foremost about Jesus Christ.
Around 2,000 years ago, Jesus lived in Israel. Christians believe that he was not simply an extraordinary human being, teacher or role model. He is the Christ, the promised Saviour and the Son of God.
Jesus came to reconcile people with God. He taught, healed, forgave sins and called people to trust God and follow him.
That is why C33 does not begin with a 2,000th anniversary, nor with the year 2033.
It begins with Jesus. He is at the centre of C33.
