Why celebrate?

People celebrate what matters to them.

We celebrate birthdays and weddings.

We remember significant events.

We celebrate freedom, peace and new beginnings.

The Bible also repeatedly tells us that God gave his people festivals.

They were meant to help them remember: Do not forget what God has done.

For Christians, the resurrection of Jesus is the most important event for their personal faith.

That is why 2033 should be an occasion to remember, to give thanks and to celebrate.

But not only that.

We also want to tell others why this event matters to us today.

For the message is not: “Jesus was once a good man.”

The message is: Jesus is alive.

And that is why there is still a personal question for every one of us: Who is Jesus to you?
